To the Sea Painting and Sparks
To the sea was inspired by the hazardous yet beautiful journey of the baby turtle just after hatching. I did a whimsical play with the colour because in my mind it is a magical moment.
Spark the poem with this painting is a colourful description of how my creative process works. some ideas haunt me a little more than others and (To The Sea) was one of those Paintings.
Ocean View Paintings and In The Deep
the ocean inspires a lot of my work. The colours below the waves can leave me in a trance some days trying to remember or examine just how the light shifts and plays for a later painting.
I try my best to capture these moments of colour and light in my work. I could write a million poems to the ocean because its mystery calls me. but ill only ever show a few.

This painting was inspired by an extremely talented photographer from Australia Amy Mercer. the moment she captured was so quiet and still, just her and this amazing humpback. the lighting was magical . I was so happy she gave me permission to paint her gorgeous shot.
The poem with this painting is inspired by the threat we have become to the oceans life all over the world.
